Senior Information Security Specialist (First Security Hire)

About the Role

Are you a security expert looking to make a definitive impact? Jobgether is seeking a Senior Information Security Specialist in Mexico to become our very first dedicated security expert. In this pivotal role, you will shape the security posture of a rapidly growing global SaaS organization, ensuring that innovation and cutting-edge technologies like AI are implemented safely and securely.

Main Missions

• Define and operationalize the company's security posture across systems, data, and cloud environments.
• Design pragmatic security frameworks that enable the adoption of AI and emerging technologies without hindering innovation.
• Establish and implement AI governance frameworks and security policies.
• Manage vulnerability lifecycles and lead incident response efforts.
• Support compliance requirements, specifically SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards.
• Manage security toolsets including SIEM, EDR, DLP, and IAM.
• Conduct third-party risk assessments and partner with Engineering teams on application security (AppSec).
• Promote company-wide security awareness programs and monitor emerging threat landscapes.

Profile Required

• Proven experience as a hands-on security professional in a high-growth tech or SaaS environment.
• Ability to act as an individual contributor while collaborating cross-functionally with IT, Engineering, Compliance, and Operations.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to build security programs from the ground up.
• Expertise in balancing rigorous security controls with the need for rapid technological innovation.
