Senior Plant Controller – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Plant Controller to lead the finance function for two automotive manufacturing plants in Silao, Guanajuato. The role will partner with plant management to provide financial insight, ensure compliance with IFRS, and drive performance across all finance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly closing, financial reporting, and forecasting for both plants.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory control, and manufacturing finance analysis.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, payroll, and import/export finance activities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and corporate financial policies.
• Partner closely with plant management to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
• Provide financial visibility and performance analysis to leadership.
• Lead and develop the local finance team.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
• Maintain strong financial controls across plant operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Plant Controller in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing, inventory management, and financial analysis.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Experience leading finance teams within operational settings.
• Solid understanding of IFRS.
• Ability to work effectively in matrix and multicultural organizations.
• Hands‑on leadership style with strong interpersonal skills.
