Sr. Accounting & Reporting Specialist - Revenue & Inventory

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist to manage revenue and inventory accounting in Mexico City. The role combines accurate financial reporting with compliance to IFRS and internal controls, supporting the global eye‑care business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate journal entries and ensure timely month‑end close.
• Perform robust balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve issues with local stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, policies, and procedures.
• Support SOX certification and address audit findings with corrective actions.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries while meeting SLA/KPI targets.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance; master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of hands‑on accounting experience at a mid‑senior level.
• Intermediate English proficiency (conversation, reading, writing).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, statutory and corporate accounting.
