Staff DevOps Engineer

About the role

Cision is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to shape and evolve its cloud, DevOps, and SRE platforms. You will design, build, and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure that supports the delivery of critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of production platforms and services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to create resilient infrastructure and deployment patterns.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, promoting strong engineering standards.
• Participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation to ensure platform availability.
• Drive standardisation, automation, and documentation to reduce operational overhead.
• Contribute across the full lifecycle of platform and service delivery, from design to optimisation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or software engineering.
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes at scale and container orchestration.
• Hands‑on experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Strong programming skills in an object‑oriented language and solid scripting/automation ability.
• Comprehensive understanding of security principles for infrastructure and services.
• Significant experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or OCI).
• Proficiency in monitoring, alerting, and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
