Tax Accountant (Fiscal Compliance)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Tax Accountant to ensure fiscal compliance, regulatory reporting, and accurate financial documentation within a fast‑paced environment. The role supports tax validation, customs record control, and adherence to Mexican regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate invoices before payment.
• Verify documentation through government tax platforms such as SAT.
• Monitor compliance filings and prevent pending submissions.
• Support control and tracking of fiscal and customs documentation.
• Assist in preparing monthly regulatory and statistical reports.
• Maintain organized financial and compliance records.
• Provide assistance for internal controls and audit preparation when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, compliance, or financial documentation.
• English proficiency (preferred).
• Ability to travel up to 50% in the first year, especially between February and August.

Required skills

• Intermediate Excel.
• Experience with government tax platforms (SAT or similar).
• Knowledge of Anexo 24 and customs compliance documentation.
• Experience supporting export/import documentation processes.
• Familiarity with reporting for government entities such as INEGI.
• Use of accounting or ERP systems.
