Upper Elementary English Homeroom Teacher (Grades 5‑6)

About the role

Eton School, part of the Nord Anglia Education family, is seeking a passionate Upper Elementary English Homeroom Teacher for grades 5‑6. You will join a bilingual, international environment where English and Spanish instruction are delivered through project‑based learning.

Key responsibilities

• Teach all core subjects in English – Language Arts, Science, Art, and Social Studies.
• Plan and deliver engaging, project‑based lessons that align with national (SEP) and international standards.
• Manage the classroom, fostering positive discipline, active participation, and collaboration.
• Assess both academic progress and socio‑emotional development of each student.
• Prepare instructional materials and pedagogical resources.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.

Required profile

• BA in Education and/or Teacher Certification (required).
• PGCE or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum three years experience teaching Upper Elementary (5th or 6th grade).
• Expert or native‑level English proficiency (language screening required).
• Strong knowledge of modern pedagogical strategies, formative assessment, and group management.
• Ability to integrate academic and socio‑emotional development.
