Project Manager – International R&D Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate international R&D projects across multiple regions, including Germany, India, North and South America, and China. The role involves overseeing product development from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional R&D delivery teams, including Product Management, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, After‑Market and Marketing.
• Maintain project status dashboards, track quality claims and manage project complexity.
• Plan and execute projects according to the APD model, handling risk, scope and stakeholder management.
• Drive decision‑making on project priorities and make/buy partner choices.
• Ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Accelerate time‑to‑market while improving efficiency and product quality.
• Prepare and present project status at Decision Point Committee meetings.
• Perform financial planning, budgeting and follow‑up for assigned projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices and develop team leadership skills.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and situational leadership experience in international, cross‑functional environments.
• Strong communication skills in English at all organizational levels.
• Track record of successful product development and launch of complex systems.
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a scientific discipline.
• Experience managing small to medium sized projects with financial responsibility.
