Tax Manager – Financial Services (Mexico)

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level Tax Manager to join TikTok’s Tax Team in Mexico City. The role will focus on tax compliance and operational matters for financial‑technology products, ensuring that our digital platform meets Mexican VAT, withholding tax and regulatory reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own and coordinate Mexico tax compliance for financial‑related products, including VAT, withholding taxes and digital platform tax obligations.
• Design, review and monitor end‑to‑end tax flows for financial transactions, collaborating with Finance, Accounting and Treasury.
• Validate invoicing flows (CFDI), tax calculations and reporting logic for product launches, working with internal product and engineering teams and external vendors.
• Liaise with external advisors and Mexican tax authorities (SAT) to ensure alignment, respond to information requests and support audits.
• Implement and monitor digital platform tax rules, seller/creator withholding frameworks and reporting obligations.
• Identify tax risks and operational gaps, proposing scalable, compliant solutions.
• Monitor tax judicial and administrative precedents impacting the company’s operations.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in tax compliance within a large multinational corporation or professional services firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Law.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican VAT and withholding tax regulations.
• Proven ability to work in a global, cross‑functional team and manage ambiguity.

Required skills

• Understanding of Mexican VAT and withholding tax rules.
• Experience with CFDI invoicing and digital platform tax compliance.
• Ability to analyse tax legislation and translate it into operational processes.
