AP Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to join Vertiv’s finance team in the United States. The role will manage the end‑to‑end AP process for a multinational manufacturing environment, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments while supporting month‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record vendor invoices, including non‑PO and service invoices.
• Monitor purchase orders, resolve discrepancies, and manage critical supplier payments.
• Handle employee expense reports, travel advances, reimbursements and expense reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile AP accounts, vendor advances, statements and aging.
• Support month‑end close by clearing invoice holds, unvouchered transactions and performing AP aging analysis.
• Interact directly with vendors to resolve invoicing, payment and system issues.
• Prepare payment requests, corporate credit‑card payments and recurring supplier payments.
• Assist internal and external audits and drive continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on Accounts Payable experience in a multinational manufacturing or maquiladora setting.
• Knowledge of Mexican tax regulations (CFDI, VAT, withholding taxes) and vendor compliance.
• Experience with electronic invoicing and AP automation tools.
• Familiarity with SOX controls and corporate compliance requirements.
• Intermediate English proficiency and strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.

• Oracle or SAP ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• AP automation and electronic invoicing platforms.
• Understanding of Mexican tax regulations (CFDI, VAT, withholding taxes).
• SOX control knowledge.
