Associate Buyer

About the role

The Associate Buyer will support the Aerie buying team by managing product flow, inventory, and analytical reporting across seasonal collections. This role blends strong communication, organization, and analytical abilities to help drive profitability for retail, e‑commerce, and wholesale channels.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret seasonal concepts, key investments, and product lifespans to execute the product strategy each season.
• Analyze weekly, monthly and seasonal product performance for retail, e‑commerce and wholesale.
• Execute buys for assigned categories under the guidance of senior buyers.
• Manage purchase orders, ensure timely issuance, and update product information in internal systems.
• Track receipts, communicate product delays, and maintain accurate buying files.
• Deliver product strategy updates to cross‑functional teams and coordinate weekly sales performance action plans.
• Collaborate with Visual and Operations teams to ensure floorset execution and provide merchandising guides.
• Visit stores monthly with buyers to gather feedback on product performance and visual execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in merchandising or apparel retail.
• Fluent English with daily communication with U.S. partners.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
