Chassis Development Engineer

About the role

The Chassis Development Engineer will work on the design, development, validation and production release of suspension and steering components at both the component and system level. You will collaborate with suppliers, validation teams, manufacturing and purchasing to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality chassis parts.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop suspension and steering components.
• Validate designs and manage timing for production release.
• Create and maintain 3D/2D models using CATIA V5/3DX or NX.
• Handle documentation and release management in PLM (Teamcenter).
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and oversee manufacturing processes.
• Manage PBOM, eBOM, DVP&R and technical sheets.

Required profile

• 0‑1 year experience reviewing, validating and releasing automotive chassis component designs.
• Intermediate to advanced English for technical communication.
• Familiarity with Tier 1 suppliers, OEM processes and style‑freeze evaluations is a plus.
• Experience with in‑plant tool try‑outs, assembly and program launch is advantageous.
• Knowledge of automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949 is preferred.

Required skills
