Commissioning Technician – PLC Systems

About the role

The Commissioning Technician will ensure that PLC‑controlled automated systems function correctly, safely and as designed before delivery to the client. This role involves testing, adjusting and validating hardware, software and processes to guarantee a successful startup.

Key responsibilities

• Verify digital and analog I/O, sensors, actuators, valves, motors and variators.
• Check wiring, signals, grounds and communications.
• Diagnose electrical and instrumentation faults.
• Load, validate and adjust PLC programs, parameters, timings and scaling.
• Test programs under production conditions and validate security logic and interlocks.
• Force signals safely for testing and collaborate with programmers to fix bugs.
• Validate HMI/SCADA screens, alarms, trends, local/remote commands and fault messages.

Required profile

• Degree in electronic, electrical, mechanical or electromechanical engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience programming PLCs.
• Native Spanish and English at B1 level (desired).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
