About the role
This position reports to the Head of Construction and is part of AIG's underwriting team in Mexico City. The underwriter will collaborate with colleagues, learn the full range of products, focus on delivering excellent customer service, and help grow a profitable portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Quote submissions and pricing adequacy.
- Build and maintain a profitable portfolio.
- Ensure underwriting methodology, risk appetite, guidelines, and business rules are followed.
- Comply with service level agreements.
- Promote synergies across distribution, underwriting teams, and support staff.
- Develop strong relationships with customers, producers, reinsurers, and partners.
Required profile
- Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to learn and understand all products within the construction line of business.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with key stakeholders.
