Quality Inspector (Tester) – Elevators & Escalators

About the role

Join KONE as a Tester (Quality Inspector) in Mexico City, responsible for testing and final inspection of installed elevators and escalators on site. You will ensure safety, compliance with codes, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Apply safety practices and manage on‑site communication with customers and field supervisors.
• Test equipment according to codes and standards, verify mechanical and electrical safety, and confirm compliance with contractual requirements.
• Perform final inspections, sign off documents, and participate in handovers or inspections by notified bodies.
• Identify installation quality issues, report deviations, and contribute to corrective actions.
• Participate in quality working groups and apply lean principles to improve processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in product quality inspections.
• Experience communicating with production/processing areas and preparing quality reports/KPIs.
• Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Basic‑intermediate written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with multimeter, flexometer, vernier and screwdrivers.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel (part of Microsoft Office suite).
