Controller – Finance

About the role

Flex is seeking a Controller to lead the finance and accounting function for its Guadalajara site. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be an integral member of the site management team, driving financial performance, compliance, and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maximize financial returns by overseeing site performance, profitability, cash flow and long‑term value creation.
• Develop business cases for investments, evaluate risks, and manage foreign‑exchange and currency impacts.
• Lead finance digitization projects and identify process‑improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, local regulations, US GAAP, tax, customs and trade requirements.
• Oversee accounting and finance reporting, including monthly statements, rolling forecasts and annual audits.
• Maintain internal controls and SOX compliance to safeguard assets.
• Prepare financial forecasts and performance summaries for senior leadership.
• Drive talent development, coaching and culture initiatives within the finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or cost accounting is preferred.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to build cases, evaluate risks and support customer quotes.
• Proven leadership skills to manage and develop a finance team.
