Cost Analyst

About the role

The Cost Analyst will support the plant’s financial performance by analysing unit costs, forecasting overhead, and ensuring accurate reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. The role works closely with cross‑functional teams to drive cost‑control initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Cost per Unit, SWPC, overhead analysis, scrap reconciliation and reserve control.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and month‑end internal cost reports and support external reporting (Wolf, A35, Freeze Review, Forecast & Cost Roadmap).
• Assist in the preparation of the Business Plan, operating budgets, launch cost controls and financial scorecards.
• Conduct labor analysis, forecasting, absenteeism cost control and accuracy reporting (Time Keeping, TER, FAB Card).
• Maintain internal controls, MCRP completion, GIS1 compliance and desk procedures.
• Manage supplier chargebacks, intercompany charges, PN control and project financial reviews.
• Provide financial valuation for Six‑Sigma projects, Employee Suggestion Program and Ford Production System initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related quantitative field.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, FP&A or corporate finance, preferably in manufacturing or automotive.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or QAD.
• Proficiency in business intelligence tools: Power BI, Alteryx, Qlik Sense.
• Familiarity with Ford proprietary finance tools (Wolf, CORA, MCRP, A35 Reporting, GIS1, FPS).
