Country Tax Manager – Mexico

About the role

Signify is seeking a Country Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and strategy for its Mexican operations. Based in Huixquilucan, you will ensure all legal entities meet their tax obligations while identifying opportunities to optimise the effective tax rate.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual tax returns, monthly pre‑payments and informative filings for third‑party review.
• Maintain compliance of all Mexican legal entities with statutory tax obligations.
• Determine deferred taxes and manage corporate tax reporting in a timely manner.
• Apply new tax laws and accounting developments strategically.
• Collaborate with external accounting firms to minimise tax liabilities.
• Interpret and apply transfer‑pricing rules and related requirements.
• Support special projects for the North LATAM region as requested by Group Tax.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or a related discipline (Master’s in Taxes is a plus).
• 8‑10 years of public accounting experience handling complex corporate tax and accounting work.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax laws, especially those affecting IMMEX companies and employee‑insourcing entities.
• Experience with tax controversy, federal tax compliance and transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• In‑depth knowledge of Mexican tax legislation and procedures.
• Expertise in corporate tax reporting, deferred tax accounting and VAT certification.
• Understanding of transfer‑pricing rules and documentation.
• Experience with electronic accounting systems as defined by Mexican tax authorities.
• General ledger management, journal entry processing and reconciliations.
