Data Scientist – AI/ML Projects (Cloud Division)

About the role

ETAP is looking for a Data Scientist to join its Cloud Division and drive new AI/ML initiatives. You will work on high‑impact projects covering predictive modeling, graph machine learning, and generative AI, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy machine‑learning models for classification, regression, ranking, and recommendation tasks.
• Apply feature engineering, cross‑validation, and rigorous model evaluation to improve accuracy and robustness.
• Develop reproducible workflows using Python, SQL, MLflow/Weights & Biases, and Azure ML.
• Collaborate with engineering to expose models as scalable APIs via FastAPI and Docker.
• Monitor models in production, detect drift, and ensure ongoing reliability.

Required profile

• Strong Python programming skills with experience in Pandas, NumPy, and scikit‑learn.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in XGBoost or LightGBM for tabular modeling.
• Experience deploying and tracking models using Git, Docker, FastAPI, and Azure ML.
• Solid understanding of evaluation metrics for classification, regression, and ranking.
• Excellent communication skills and a curiosity‑driven mindset.
