DevOps Engineer

About the role

EPAM is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support production Kubernetes‑based systems for a leading technology company focused on AI research infrastructure. The role blends site reliability engineering, observability, and SQL production support, with a strong emphasis on monitoring, metrics, dashboards, and operational excellence across an Azure Stack environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain and continuously improve observability solutions, including dashboards and visual reports built with Grafana or comparable tools.
• Implement and manage metrics, SLIs, SLOs and alerting strategies to ensure reliability and transparency of production systems.
• Provide business‑hours operational support for Kubernetes‑based environments, handling initial troubleshooting, log review and metric‑driven investigations.
• Assist with SQL production support, performing query troubleshooting and basic performance diagnostics.
• Analyze incidents to identify root causes, participate in post‑incident reviews and recommend enhancements for monitoring and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform and research teams to raise observability standards and strengthen overall system stability.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge‑sharing activities and ongoing improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on professional experience in SRE, DevOps, production support or equivalent roles.
• Proven track record working with production systems and delivering reliable services.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on Linux platforms and experience with log analysis.
