Director, Shared Services Center – Accounting

About the role

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is seeking a senior finance leader to drive the stabilization and long‑term scaling of its Mexico‑based Shared Services Center (SSC) in Guadalajara. The Director will own end‑to‑end service delivery, operational excellence, talent development, and stakeholder confidence as the SSC becomes a core component of the global finance operating model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the build‑out, stabilization and maturation of the accounting SSC from early‑stage to steady‑state operations.
• Define the SSC’s service scope, operating model, governance structure and escalation frameworks.
• Develop multi‑year roadmaps aligned with enterprise finance strategy and growth plans.
• Serve as the senior executive interface between the SSC, U.S. finance leadership and regional stakeholders.
• Manage process transitions, ensure operational stability during ramp‑up, and continuously improve quality, efficiency and scalability.
• Establish, monitor and enhance SLAs, KPIs and service quality metrics.
• Support a disciplined monthly close in a U.S. GAAP / SOX‑controlled environment.
• Partner with Controllership and FP&A to improve data integrity, close predictability and risk management.
• Design and embed a strong control environment aligned with SOX, audit and internal policy requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading offshore or near‑shore finance operations supporting U.S. or global enterprises.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
• Strong track record of building and scaling finance shared services organizations.
• Ability to operate strategically while executing operational priorities.
