Documentation & Customer Expert – Export/Import

About the role

Pacific International Lines is seeking a detail‑oriented Documentation & Customer Expert to join its team in Mexico City. You will coordinate export and import paperwork, ensure timely communication with customers, customs, and terminals, and support the smooth movement of cargo.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all documentation for export and import shipments, including manifests, corrections, retransmissions, and cargo releases.
• Coordinate with ports, warehouses, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs, and internal shared service centers.
• Ensure accurate and timely issuance of shipping documents and certify customs references before cut‑off dates.
• Monitor invoicing, vessel closure, and manifest completion to guarantee correct revenue capture.
• Handle shipment‑related exceptions in the LMS system and communicate status to relevant parties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in customer service within the shipping or logistics industry, specifically with sea‑shipping documentation.
• Strong knowledge of export and import customs requirements and compliance.

Required skills

• LMS (Logistics Management System) proficiency.
