Financial Plant Controller – Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Financial Plant Controller to lead finance operations at our manufacturing site. Reporting to the North America Regional Controller, you will partner with operations, supply chain and plant management to drive financial performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual plant financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze cost drivers, conversion variances and operating margins to provide actionable insights.
• Oversee inventory valuation, cycle counts and physical inventory processes, addressing risks such as slow‑moving or obsolete stock.
• Supervise the Customs team for US and MX operations, ensuring compliance and managing external brokers.
• Lead plant budgeting, forecasting and long‑range financial planning, including capital investment modeling.
• Track key performance indicators, financial trends and performance against targets.
• Drive capital expenditure and cost‑reduction projects while improving financial processes and controls.
• Develop and coach a team of accounting and finance professionals, fostering a culture of integrity and urgency.
• Design and monitor internal controls, coordinate with auditors and ensure regulatory and tax compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of management experience in accounting or financial leadership, preferably in a manufacturing or maquiladora environment.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Cost accounting expertise.
• Inventory control and valuation.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle or equivalent).
• Advanced Excel skills.
