Full Stack Software Engineer (L3) – Advertising Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer (L3) to design, develop, and operate scalable services that power Wayfair’s advertising platform. You will own features from design through deployment and work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build backend APIs using Java and GraphQL.
• Create real‑time data pipelines with Kafka, Aerospike, and Elasticsearch.
• Develop frontend applications with JavaScript and React for diverse stakeholders.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and provide production support during peak events.
• Implement monitoring and observability using DataDog and Grafana.
• Conduct high‑quality code and design reviews.
• Document processes and design decisions to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of software engineering experience, preferably full‑stack or backend.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Proficiency with Java or similar production languages.
• Experience with cloud‑native architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across distributed teams.
