Graphic Designer for Packaging

About the role

3M is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to create production‑ready packaging artwork that supports global brand guidelines and delivers best‑in‑class consumer experiences. You will work closely with design teams, production art managers and agency partners to bring concepts to print.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt graphic design concepts into final print‑ready packaging files, ensuring technical specifications align with business expectations.
• Maintain global artwork consistency, manage multi‑SKU packaging versions, and oversee die‑line, net‑content and regulatory text requirements.
• Collaborate with internal project managers to meet timelines and support remote, cloud‑based workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma/GED; 10 + years of artwork production experience in packaging, including 5 + years in consumer packaging and pre‑press.
• Strong visual design sense with expertise in color management, CMYK/RGB, spot colors and Pantone matching.
• Ability to manage high volumes, shifting priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining quality control.

Required skills

• Expert‑level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for packaging design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools – Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
• Knowledge of packaging regulations, labeling requirements and print production technologies (offset, flexo, digital, gravure).
