HR Business Partner – Mexico City

About the role

Pacific International Lines is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Business Partner to join its Mexico City team. The role supports the Mexican regional team by delivering HR projects and operations that align with regional goals and global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the local payroll expert for Colombia and Peru, ensuring accurate processing and compliance with labor laws.
• Lead integration and ongoing use of the Leap29 global payroll system.
• Monitor and resolve payroll‑related issues promptly.
• Drive employee experience initiatives, including Great Place to Work certification and DEI programs.
• Provide trusted HR advice to managers on policies, relations, and engagement.
• Develop and communicate HR strategies for Colombia and Peru, adapting global projects to local contexts.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit critical roles and support workforce planning.
• Identify training needs, coordinate learning programs, and support leadership development.
• Facilitate performance review cycles and coach managers on goal setting and feedback.
• Maintain competitive compensation and benefits programs and address employee queries.
• Manage employee relations cases, ensuring fair and compliant resolutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and labor regulations in Colombia and Peru.
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor to managers and drive HR initiatives.
• Motivated, results‑oriented professional with a collaborative mindset.
