Human Resources Compliance Specialist

About the role

The Human Resources Compliance Specialist for the Western Hemisphere partners with leaders across the organization to ensure adherence to employment laws, company policies, and ethical standards. This hands‑on professional provides guidance on HR matters, supports investigations, and helps design compliance programs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution and continuous improvement of HR compliance programs and initiatives.
• Investigate employee complaints, conflicts, and policy violations, documenting findings and recommending actions.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
• Develop, refine, and implement compliance policies and processes across the Western Hemisphere.
• Support the design and delivery of training sessions related to local, state, and federal employment laws.
• Participate in internal HR audits, including harassment training, employee handbook reviews, and Form I‑9 compliance.
• Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and assist with EthicsPoint hotline case administration.
• Generate ad‑hoc reports and metrics to track compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources or a related discipline, preferably with employee‑relations exposure.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations calmly.
• Demonstrated analytical ability, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (V‑lookups, pivot tables, large data set manipulation).
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
