ITR Design Engineer – Accessories

About the role

The ITR Design Engineer – Accessories will lead the design, analysis and validation of gas turbine accessory systems such as fuel, hydraulics, cooling water, valves, piping, purge, heating and ventilation. The role focuses on changes, modifications and upgrades (CM&U) to maximise machine efficiency, safety and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and guide teams in analysis, design, testing and integration of assigned components and systems.
• Provide technical leadership to the GT CM&U engineering team and support customer requirements.
• Develop and validate designs using analytical and Lean tools, ensuring compliance with GE policies, engineering standards and security requirements.
• Document technical data, monitor project status, and communicate progress and issues.
• Co‑lead complex technical problem solving and innovative design concepts.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring schedule and quality targets are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with at least 4 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience.
• Proven experience in HD gas turbine technology and accessory design.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate with senior leadership.
• Demonstrated project management and mentoring capabilities.
