Junior DevOps / Cloud Engineer

About the role

HCL Tech is looking for a Junior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join its support team. The role focuses on L1/L2 support, monitoring, and automation of cloud‑based applications running on Azure and Google Cloud Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support for critical applications and participate in a rotational on‑call schedule.
• Monitor systems using Splunk, Dynatrace, NetIQ and Tivoli, and respond to incidents, problems and events.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, Jenkins and UrbanCode.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as VBA, Python and Perl.
• Support Windows, Linux and Solaris environments and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP and Azure.
• Collaborate with Agile delivery teams and follow ITIL processes.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in IT support or cloud operations.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace) and cloud platforms (GCP, Azure).
• Willingness to work rotational morning and afternoon shifts and share on‑call duties.
• Strong understanding of incident, problem and event management.
