Junior Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

Bosch is seeking a hands‑on Junior Embedded Software Engineer to join its Guadalajara team. You will work at the intersection of low‑level hardware and high‑level operating systems, developing firmware and supporting system integration across Android and Windows environments.

Key responsibilities

• Write, maintain, and optimize clean, reliable firmware/software in C/C++ for microcontroller platforms.
• Develop and execute unit tests and generate comprehensive documentation.
• Support end‑to‑end system testing, troubleshoot software‑to‑hardware communication, and resolve complex bugs.
• Design and maintain Python automation scripts to validate embedded target interactions with broader ecosystems.
• Utilize debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) to diagnose hardware and protocol issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2‑3 years of professional embedded development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on system‑level debugging.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with Python for automated testing.
• Understanding of Android integration (ADB/Logcat) and Windows platforms.
• Familiarity with hardware communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, UART, SPI, and I2C.
• Hands‑on use of debugging tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
