Junior Network Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Network Engineer to join our IT Help Desk Tier 2 team in Mexicala. The role provides advanced technical support, handling escalated hardware, software and network issues while ensuring compliance with security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve complex hardware, software and network problems escalated from Tier 1 technicians.
• Configure and deploy secure VPNs, advanced network settings and privileged software.
• Maintain detailed incident documentation in the ticketing system and identify root causes of recurring issues.
• Collaborate with the Compliance Officer to ensure activities meet PCI‑DSS and ISO 27001 standards.
• Mentor Tier 1 staff, update knowledge bases and monitor infrastructure for vulnerabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or help‑desk environments.
• Proficiency in English at B2 level (preferred).

Required skills

• VPN configuration and management.
• Network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Use of ticketing systems for incident tracking.
