About the role
AIG is seeking a Junior Underwriter for Casualty in Mexico City to join its International Casualty team. This position offers the chance to develop underwriting skills while supporting a growing portfolio of general liability and environmental risks.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze, assess and quote Casualty General Liability & Environmental risks for small and middle‑market businesses.
- Manage and defend an existing portfolio, building a profitable book of business.
- Underwrite renewal business to drive premium growth within underwriting authority.
- Prepare risk referrals, handle rating tools and produce booking instructions.
- Collaborate with sales, agents and brokers to maintain strong commercial relationships.
Required profile
- Enthusiastic professional eager to learn and take initiative.
- Previous experience in insurance, underwriting or risk analysis.
- Strong analytical abilities and academic achievement.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
