Local Partnership Development Specialist – Tourism Network

About the role

The Local Partnership Development Specialist will expand our client’s network of local tour guides and tourism partners across Mexico. Working closely with management, you will identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified guides while fostering long‑term relationships with tourism communities, guide associations, universities and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Source qualified tour guides through directories, social media, referrals, guide marketplaces, universities and other channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with tourism departments, faculty, student groups, guide associations and local tourism offices to create sustainable pipelines.
• Research prospective partners, verify backgrounds, certifications, language skills, customer reviews and professional reputation.
• Conduct structured screening interviews to assess professionalism, destination knowledge, storytelling ability, customer service and operational readiness.
• Rank and rank candidates using defined criteria, maintain an organized pipeline, and prepare profiles, recommendations and shortlists for management.
• Support partnership negotiations and onboarding activities, ensuring consistency and quality across the guide network.

Required profile

• Experience in business development, recruitment, partnership management or tourism operations.
• Strong communication, interviewing and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to conduct detailed research and maintain accurate candidate records.
