On‑site Shift Physician – Silao, Mexico

About the role

General Motors is seeking a qualified physician to work on‑site in Silao on a full‑time, shift‑based schedule. The role involves overseeing the health center, ensuring compliance, and supporting employee wellbeing while integrating closely with business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee overall health‑center operations, including management, programs, compliance, and personnel.
• Provide direct‑report support and supervision.
• Conduct medical examinations and manage disability/work‑comp cases.
• Collaborate with business partners to align health services with operational needs.
• Lead the site Emergency Response Program.
• Support wellness and wellbeing initiatives for employees.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of medical experience.
• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
• Board certification in a medical specialty, preferably occupational medicine (emergency, internal, or family medicine also acceptable).
• Valid medical license.
• Ability to work rotating 4‑day shifts (4x3 schedule).
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
