On‑Site Support Technician – Customer Support Specialist

About the role

Syntax is seeking an On‑Site Support Technician to deliver hands‑on technical assistance to end users at client or company locations in San Andres Cholula. You will ensure minimal downtime by troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic networking problems.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.
• Support users with Microsoft Office, Teams, and other collaboration tools.
• Manage user accounts and permissions via Active Directory.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and preventive maintenance.
• Document incidents and resolutions in ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
• Coordinate with remote IT teams or vendors for escalations.
• Set up and support meeting rooms, AV equipment, and conferencing tools.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in IT support or help‑desk roles.
• Strong problem‑solving and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work independently on‑site.

Required skills

• Windows operating system.
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Hardware troubleshooting and device configuration.
• Active Directory user and permission management.
• Ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Microsoft Office 365 / Microsoft 365 environment.
• Familiarity with routers, switches, and Wi‑Fi.
