Phoenix Developer – Remote

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a remote Phoenix Developer to design and build high‑performance, concurrent backend systems using the Elixir ecosystem. You will work with a global team of top‑tier engineers to create scalable, real‑time applications that serve major clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Implement efficient data layers, manage migrations, and work with Ecto and PostgreSQL.
• Build real‑time, interactive features using Phoenix LiveView.
• Develop fault‑tolerant distributed systems employing OTP patterns and GenServers.
• Maintain high code quality and system performance through functional programming best practices.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience focused on functional programming.
• Proven track record building real‑time, concurrent backends with Elixir and Phoenix.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling with Ecto and PostgreSQL.
• Deep understanding of OTP, GenServers, and distributed system design on the BEAM VM.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
