Plant Finance Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Plant Finance Controller to lead end‑to‑end finance for our manufacturing plant in Reynosa, Mexico. You will act as the primary finance business partner for plant management, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, compliance and strong internal controls to drive operational efficiency and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly plant close, P&L, balance sheet and inventory reconciliations; prepare statutory and management reports.
• Support dual GAAP reporting (U.S. GAAP/IFRS) and timely consolidation into North America books.
• Manage standard costing, variance analysis and inventory valuation; monitor KPIs such as productivity, scrap, yield and OEE.
• Drive cost‑optimization initiatives to improve plant EBIT and analyze margin drivers for pricing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican tax, labor and customs regulations and support USMCA requirements.
• Maintain SOX controls and internal audit readiness for plant finance processes.
• Improve working capital by optimizing inventory turns, receivables and payables.
• Support ERP (SAP/Oracle) maintenance, master data integrity and system enhancements; automate routine tasks and develop Power BI/Tableau dashboards.
• Lead a small on‑site finance team and serve as the finance liaison between plant leadership, North America finance and global teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing plant controller or cost accounting role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; CPA (Mexico/U.S.) or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS and Mexican tax/customs rules; familiarity with USMCA is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required; Mandarin a plus.
• Based in Reynosa or nearby, able to work onsite.
