Principal Strategic Cyber Security Consultant

About the role

As a Principal Strategic Cyber Security Consultant you will lead and support client projects that assess, test, and build robust security programs. You will work with teams of 2‑5 colleagues, advising startups to Fortune 100 companies on best practices, risk management, and proactive cyber defence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security assessments, penetration tests, and program design for diverse clients.
• Provide strategic guidance on cyber‑risk mitigation, detection, and incident response.
• Develop and implement security frameworks, cloud security controls, and governance policies.
• Collaborate with client executives and technical teams to align security initiatives with business objectives.
• Travel up to 30% of the time to client sites as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber‑security, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience assessing and developing cyber‑security solutions.
• At least 5 years delivering cyber outcomes and risk‑based solutions.
• 3+ years working with security frameworks such as ISO27001 and NIST 800‑53.
• 3+ years designing and operating security program functions (defence operations, incident response, IAM, vulnerability management, risk management).
• Mexican citizenship and ability to submit resume in English.
