Principal Technical Program Manager

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead large‑scale modernization initiatives for its internal products and shared platforms. Reporting to the VP of Technical Program Management, you will partner with infrastructure, platform, product, engineering, and regulatory teams to deliver secure, reliable payment services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent, large‑scale programs within an Agile/Scrum framework.
• Develop deep understanding of the technology stack, integration patterns, and enterprise platforms to shape effective solutions.
• Contribute to strategic planning, architecture, and design discussions.
• Partner with business leaders and technology stakeholders to align initiatives with organizational strategy.
• Define and maintain integrated program roadmaps, managing dependencies, milestones, risks, and delivery outcomes.
• Provide data‑driven insights through tracking, reporting, and dashboards.
• Drive initiatives through disciplined planning, proactive communication, and strong stakeholder alignment.
• Identify and resolve risks, issues, and escalations to ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and thoughtful risk‑taking.
• Ensure delivery of high‑impact features that enable reliable, secure, and scalable payment services.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience leading multiple concurrent programs and managing complex dependencies.
• Strong technical acumen and strategic thinking.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑impact capabilities for mission‑critical services.
