Product Engineer III – Trailer Electronics

About the role

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems is seeking a Product Engineer III to support trailer electronics products, including ABS and roll stability systems. The role involves validation, production release, testing, and direct customer support for new and existing trailer electronic solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop functional and technical requirements based on OEM feedback, fleet data, and competitive analysis.
• Author design specifications, component drawings, test specifications, and DFMEAs.
• Create and manage test plans (environmental, electrical, mechanical) and oversee execution, result interpretation, and documentation using DVP&R.
• Coordinate with quality and plant engineering to implement assembly line modifications and support IPA and PPAP processes.
• Provide customer training, troubleshoot issues, and support new orders and variant releases.
• Analyze end‑of‑line rejects and drive design changes for cost reduction, supplier transitions, or product improvements.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
• Experience with trailer electronics, ABS, and roll stability systems.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
