Project Manager – Automotive Development

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a self‑directed Project Manager to lead cross‑functional teams through all phases of automotive program development. The role is based at the company’s Technical Center and involves close collaboration with internal departments and external customer teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver projects using Autoliv development processes.
• Drive accountability across engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, program management, and suppliers.
• Manage global project execution, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and strong performance outcomes.
• Oversee project scope, budget, schedule, and launch readiness to meet internal and customer milestones.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and customers on project‑related matters.
• Support business strategies, new‑business quoting, and technical presentations such as design reviews, tollgates, and workshops.
• Ensure projects follow the Autoliv Product Development System (APDS) and maintain accurate project tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support successful product launches in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, or Engineering.
• Experience or exposure to the automotive industry, new product development (NPD), and product launches.
• Proven ability to work in a matrix organization and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Flexibility to collaborate across global teams and time zones.
