Prototyping Engineer

About the role

The Prototyping Engineer will support the evaluation and analysis of manufacturing processes in cutting, sewing and module assembly. Working on the shop floor, you will assist senior engineers in troubleshooting product and process issues and help develop process documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Support evaluation and analysis of cutting, sewing and module assembly processes.
• Assist in troubleshooting product and process issues on the shop floor under senior guidance.
• Develop and maintain process sheets and manufacturing documentation.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives aimed at efficiency and waste reduction.
• Provide support during site audits related to prototype activities.
• Engage in company events such as APS Week, Family Day and Safety Week, and serve on APS committees.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental and Safety Management System requirements.
• Execute Jidoka (stop and notify) actions for safety or quality concerns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related engineering field.
• Minimum two years of experience in process or production environments.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (GD&T preferred).
