Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager

About the role

Amazon is seeking a motivated, customer‑focused leader to manage a team of technicians within the Reliability Maintenance Engineering area. You will ensure safety, drive equipment availability, and support the broader warehouse and delivery network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and coach a team of technicians, promoting safe and efficient work practices.
• Implement and audit safety and statutory compliance programs in partnership with Site Safety and Leadership.
• Drive preventative maintenance to achieve high equipment availability for internal customers.
• Organize training programs to maintain adequate technical coverage across shifts.
• Coordinate local projects and support business‑level initiatives as assigned.
• Work on shift rotations to stay connected with daily operations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of people‑management experience, preferably managing engineers or technicians.
• Strong background in electrical, mechanical, or controls engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with automated equipment such as packaging machinery, sortation systems, and conveyors.
• Demonstrated ability to work within health and safety regulations.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of health & safety standards and regulations.
