Resident Liaison Engineer – Vehicle Assembly Plant

About the role

Versigent is seeking a Resident Liaison Engineer to be stationed full‑time at the Stellantis Saltillo Truck plant. Acting as the on‑site representative of the DJ DRE team, you will ensure seamless engineering support for harness design and pilot builds when DREs are not present.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the DRE team on the vehicle assembly line and provide engineering assistance during pilot builds.
• Answer technical questions, guide harness design decisions, and support first‑piece sign‑off activities.
• Root‑cause issues with Aptiv harnesses, determine if they stem from quality or design, and propose corrective actions.
• Communicate findings and solutions back to the DRE team and maintain issue tracking for containment.
• Coordinate trial runs, harness reworks, and support Tier‑1 suppliers.
• Complete pre‑pilot build part sign‑off and participate in First Piece Sign Off (FPSO) processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of automotive experience, preferably with wire‑harness projects.
• Strong logical thinking and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with customers and internal teams.
