Security Analyst – Cybersecurity Monitoring & Incident Response

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team in Mexico. The role focuses on monitoring security events, investigating incidents, and helping protect the organization’s systems, networks, and data.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and other security monitoring tools.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities.
• Perform risk assessments and recommend appropriate security controls.
• Analyze logs, network traffic, and system activities to detect potential threats.
• Support vulnerability management by identifying, assessing, and tracking remediation efforts.
• Assist with security audits, compliance requirements, and documentation.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and improve security posture.
• Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and industry trends.
• Create reports on security incidents, findings, and recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT support.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of network security, firewalls, endpoint protection, and operating systems.
• Understanding of vulnerability assessment and incident response processes.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Scripting languages: PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Cloud security concepts for AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (advantage).
