Senior Buyer

About the role

The Senior Buyer ensures a continuous supply of food and packaging products at optimal cost while managing franchisee relationships, promotions, inventory, and distribution services. Fluency in Spanish and English is required, and experience with import/export activities is a plus.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate supplier agreements to optimize landed product costs at distribution centers.
• Manage supplier and distribution‑center relationships to maintain a reliable supply chain.
• Develop purchasing strategies and align them with stakeholders.
• Monitor cost variances and commodity pricing to identify savings.
• Assess supplier performance on quality, cost, and service.
• Coordinate with marketing, innovation, and quality teams for new product launches and promotions.
• Communicate marketing activities to suppliers and manage inventory for rollouts.
• Oversee relationships with distribution centers and third‑party carriers, reviewing logistics costs and freight expenses.
• Manage franchisee relationships, address concerns, and represent the company in discussions.
• Provide supply‑chain updates to leadership and prepare reports to resolve purchasing and distribution issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or 5–6 years of relevant experience in supply chain, purchasing, or logistics.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail.
