Senior HR Advisor

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to provide trusted guidance on employee relations, policy application, onboarding, off‑boarding and core HR administration. You will partner closely with managers, employees, union representatives and HR colleagues to ensure smooth local processes, compliance and an improving employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and best practices for personnel matters, organizational changes and sick leave.
• Manage onboarding and off‑boarding processes to deliver a professional employee experience.
• Support annual global HR cycles in coordination with HR stakeholders.
• Communicate and liaise with union representatives as part of day‑to‑day HR advisory work.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, contracts and related documentation.
• Ensure HR activities comply with local labor laws, regulations and internal standards.
• Contribute to ongoing HR initiatives and process improvements across the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of HR experience, preferably in an advisory or generalist role within a global organization.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in employee relations, HR administration, onboarding/off‑boarding and policy guidance.
• High level of confidentiality, sound judgment and professional handling of employee matters.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
