Senior Sales Controller

About the role

The Senior Sales Controller acts as the Finance Business Partner for Sales Operations, overseeing gross‑to‑net management, commercial control, and financial transparency. This position ensures accurate forecasting, reporting, and governance of sales allowances, discounts, rebates, customer investments, and commercial agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial management of sales discounts, rebates, allowances, and customer investments, including forecasting, accruals, reporting and reconciliation.
• Own the monthly commercial spend close, validating accuracy and compliance with corporate accounting guidelines.
• Monitor gross‑to‑net performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable financial insights.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Supply Chain to enhance performance and visibility.
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts and reporting tools for commercial investments and profitability.
• Conduct ROI, pricing, margin and profitability analyses to optimize customer and channel performance.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting cycles and strategic planning initiatives.
• Lead the Customer & Pricing Master Data team, ensuring data integrity, accurate pricing structures and reliable commercial information.
• Drive automation, process optimisation and continuous improvement of commercial finance tools.
• Support internal control framework, coordinate audits and lead corrective action plans.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in sales finance or commercial controlling.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex financial processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in financial modelling and profitability analysis.
• Excellent understanding of corporate accounting guidelines and internal control standards.
