Senior Systems Engineer (Windows & Cloud)

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join its team in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role with at least three days a week in the office. The engineer is relied upon during high-stakes operational events and corporate cloud initiatives, influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority and synthesizing large amounts of multi-system data in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead critical incident responses: take a lead role on major incident conference calls and drive rapid resolution across global, cross-functional engineering teams (Network, Storage, Database, Security).
• Act as the technical anchor for Windows workloads during large-scale, complex cloud migration initiatives.
• Independently design, engineer and deploy resilient, multi-system Windows environments, mapping dependencies and ensuring scalability and security baselines.
• Build automation and infrastructure as code: write advanced scripts and automation pipelines, using PowerShell to automate server support, configuration management and immutable server builds.
• Work autonomously as a self-directed leader who mentors peers, defines technical standards and delivers large-scale projects.

Required profile

• 8 to 10 years of experience in Windows Server engineering or a related field.
• Strong spoken and written English, able to explain abstract technical concepts to engineers and business stakeholders across time zones.
• Proven track record of designing, building and delivering complex Windows solutions.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Windows Server (2016 through 2025), failover clustering, advanced networking stacks and Active Directory Domain Services.
• Hands-on Git and PowerShell, with clean, version-controlled scripts.
• CI/CD integration with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Comfortable working in AWS and Microsoft Azure.
