Simulation Engineer (CAE)

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Simulation Engineer (CAE) to support engineering projects within its automotive R&D division. The role focuses on applying standard design methods, managing project budgets, and contributing to data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate awareness of project budgets and optimise resource utilisation within the assigned scope.
• Assist senior engineers in executing engineering projects, particularly tasks classified as Newness level 1 (standard designs based on existing rules).
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as design specifications, test reports and related records.
• Collect, analyse and report technical data to support informed decisions within the team.
• Follow the discipline’s Digitalisation Roadmap, using designated tools and processes to improve efficiency.
• Identify and propose improvements to existing processes and methodologies.

Required profile

• Proficiency in applying established design processes and methodologies.
• Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills, staying up‑to‑date with industry trends.
• Effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
