Site Manager

About the role

AGSE Mexico is looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead its new manufacturing facility in Querétaro. The role oversees all production, quality, supply‑chain and HR functions for aerospace ground support equipment and precision metal fabrication, ensuring world‑class delivery to domestic and international customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on leadership for day‑to‑day operations of the Querétaro plant, covering fabrication, welding, CNC machining, assembly and finishing.
• Establish processes, workflows and organizational structure for a greenfield facility, aligning with AGSE’s Santa Fe Springs operating model.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery and cost through lean manufacturing, 5S and structured problem‑solving.
• Develop, monitor and analyse KPIs such as manufacturing efficiency, welding quality, CNC utilization, on‑time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Implement and maintain robust quality assurance systems, conducting audits to meet AS9100, ISO 9001, customer and Mexican regulatory requirements.
• Manage production assets including welding systems, CNC machines, press brakes, tooling, fixtures and inspection equipment.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes in close collaboration with Engineering and Program Management.
• Report production status, risks and improvement initiatives to senior leadership in the United States.
• Recruit, train and retain a skilled local workforce, creating competency frameworks aligned with aerospace standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in aerospace tooling or GSE production.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to launch and scale a greenfield manufacturing operation.
• Experience managing cross‑functional teams across Production, Quality, Supply Chain and HR.
• Fluency in English; Spanish language skills are a plus.
